    phpbugtracker 1.0 installation

    hello
i am trying to install phpbugtracker ( 1.0rc1 ) to be able to manage
bugtracking for some web apps we are developping. 0.9.1 used to work
great, but I am now unable to install the new one from scratch.
I tried installing from a Freebsd box and it complained that gettext
wasn't found on the system .... i also tried installing it on a gentoo
box, this went OK, but when logging in for the first time I got this
    error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
    /var/www/localhost/htdocs/phpbt-1.0rc1/inc/functions.php on line 30

can someone please tell me if they could install this ? or maybe
upgrade ? because i am stuck with 0.9.1 which lacks some things and is
    becoming older !

thanks for the help and have a nice day :)

Hi Garp, thanks for your attention. I already submitted a bugreport on
sourceforge porject base, and it got a fix (for the rc2).
There are some things I can't do with my 0.91, for example how to add
attachment abilities to the application ? i dont have an "add
attachment" thing for my bugreporters. I dont know if I have to hack
on smarty/templates code or whatever ...
I also noticed something very strange, saw lot of files on c_templates
      folder, called admin^something .html and admin^someother stuff.html ....
etc.... i dont know if they should use this names or if there was some
error somewhere (tar, mv or whatever i could have done)

      Thanks for your attention

      Patricio

        Sorry it's been a while.

My installation (18 months old and customised to bits) supported attachments
out of the box; you can't attach stuff from the bug raising form, but you
can once they're entered - look at the base of the main viewing form. (I
don't think it's a configuration option, and I don't have access to the
installation I use from here, and no access to Usenet from there...)

The c_templates stuff is how Smarty templates works - you can safely ignore
them (they're compiled results of templates plus data).

Right, i found out i have also attachment abilities, not on first
insertion of a bug, but on updates .. so cool !
i also saw the stuff about smarty creating such strange some^thing
stuff so thanks for that clue too !
          Have a nice day !
