this is probably the wrong forum but it is where i usualy post so if you know the right forum where this belongs please move it.

my question is how do i make a word verfication program. I have countless web forms that are being attacked by automated progs if anyone knows how or even in what language to make a random word verification program i would appreciate the knowledge

sorry about the lack of clarity

on pages like
gmail signup

there is an image of some letters that are wavy and odd fonts and you have to enter the contents of that image into a txt box in order to submit the form

what i need is to build one of these and i heard that the images are randomly generated when a user visits the page and i was wondering if someone knows how to do that

Check the "Validation " group of classes at www.phpclasses.org and search for CAPTCHA. You will find a couple of these classes that you can download and use freely.

A good one is Class CAPTCHA or Simple Captcha
