Blank PHP Page

I'm very much a newbie to PHP. I just installed the blogging tool
wordpress on by copying the directory into my Redhat 9 www folder.
I've set the correct database name, username and password but all that
I have from index.php is a blank page.

Any ideas on what I should do to fix this?
