A noob question about operators...

Hey there everyone, I'm new to PHP so please bear with me... basically
looking at some code and I've stumbled upon an operator (at least I
think it's an operator) what does "->" mean in the following statement
$someVariable->somethingEls e.

'->' is used to access class' variables and methods, see the doc:
