To know recursion, you must first know recursion.

I tend to at least try answering the questions asked when posting to the
USENET. People who use the opportunity of a question to prove their
superiority, to push their ideas down the throat of others are wasting the
time of their own as well as the others. So I assumed and hoped that my
brief reply will save some bandwidth, time and stop further public ranting
and accusations. I leave it to everyone whether it is funny or not to rant
        in public and humiliate others.

Plonking is *not* a comp.lang.php culture, it is somewhat prone to
C/C++ cult. Moreover, php guys are often referred as "saints"; only
few people who actually migrated from the C/C++ culture ( esp. me;-) )
will be engaging in rants. If someone here says anything, it may not
be humiliating---but there will be lot of points in that.

Anyway, I wonder what did you find wrong in telling that installing
PHP, MySQL and Apache is not that much hard?

Apache 2 is bit new and was experimental for sometime.

              Parts like these perhaphs?

"What were you expecting, for someone to come install it
for you? Should we write the PHP code for you, too?"

Do you think that I can find the above wrong?

I have asked about how to avoid doing the separate installation of these
things as a first step. Being around long enough I know that there are
subtleties involved in any complex system - and first I would try to avoid
knowing about them as a prerequesitie to start something I wanted to start
teo years ago. While I believe that for one with enough experiences the
separate downloading and installing is the way to go, I am afraid it isn't
the best way for me. There are many versions around etc. I can easily end
up with an installation which is troublesome or incompatible with the
current Linux server installations in ways which I will only discover when
              it is too late.

But anyway, I did not come here to argue, so I would like to really end this
pshychological part of the thread. :-)
