Table and Framesets

I am trying to set up a page using a table instead of a frameset. My
monitor is set up for 800 x 600 but I have to scroll down it looks like
800 x 800 to me? http://www.des-otoole.co.uk/ybc/Template.html

P.S. does anyone know the size of the content area of a 800x600
browser. (Minus the boarders around it)

First of all, this isn't a PHP question. You should be asking in something like
alt.html or alt.www.webmasters.

No fixed size. It depends on a lot of things - like how wide the scroll bars
are set to, the presence or absence of icons, menu items, etc. below the title
bar, etc.

Additionally, just because the screen is 800 x 600 doesn't mean the user's
window will be.

I have been told 800 x 600 (you argue with them) As this is going to be
a PHP page with html content it is valid here. If the table will not
align to the top and left because it aligns to the scroll bars, say so.
But If I reduce my browser below the size of the table the right and
bottom of the table disapear regardless of their scroll bars.

I was told to learn CSS. Sould i seek out alt.css as well as alt.<tr>

This is not a PHP question, so this is not valid here. You're asking about page
size - which PHP doesn't know or care about. It's all HTML and possibly CSS.

So ask in an appropriate newsgroup and you'll get an appropriate answer.
