    Pay Pal Rip Off??

    What are your thoughts on this.
    These guys have asked me to add their gateway to our shopping cart system.
    It looks like a paypal rip off to me, which is fine if they are on the
    level.

    Any thoughts, are they on the level?

    TIA
    RG

      Ask people that use them. Query their customer base.
      Also, If you do put it on your cart. Charge them for the service you are
      providing them.

          Alexa ranking? That's not a serious tool at all. AFAIK it only applies to
          users stupid enough to install the Alexa spyware IE-toolbar.

            Whether the users are stupid or not...its still a ball-park indicator of how
            much traffic these people have.

            Ranking:
            PayPal = 606
            Google = 5
            MTV = 307
            BytePay = 3,048,520

              I've got a client who recently got me to uninstall the PayPal system I put in
              place and replace it with Authorize.net. He said he was losing about 2/3 of his
              customers once they realize they have to go through PayPal (the signup is a
              pain). Authorize.net has a simple, customizable PHP interface, though I don't
              know how much they charge. Maybe not cost-effective for low-volume ecom...
