Determine expire session

Hello,

I need know when the session expired. I intend to create two messages, one
when the session was
not created and other when it's expired. e.g:

Was not created:

Message: Login in the site

Created, but expired:

Message: Session Expired, please retype your password and login.

Any Idea?
