connection failure

when i try to add connection with dns then a error message is display ..that is as....
the oracle(tm)clien t and networking components were not found.
these components are supplied by oracle corporation and are
part of the oracle version 7.3(or greater)client software installation.


you will be unable to use this driver until these have been installed.

why this so ? and how to solve my problem.....?

Is oracle client installed on your system ?

Do you have access to the DB server ?
