Oracle .dmp import problem

Dear sir,

I got a file .dmp from my client. but i don't know the username and password for the file. when i import the file using the cmd prompt. it gives the message successfully done. but after that i dont know what i do for attaching this file. i canot see the database or any relevant file i imported. so kindly help me for creating the database with my .dmp file...
