Toad Errors....???

in toad first i was facing the ORA-12541: TNS:no listener error then the ORA-12170: TNS: Connect timeout occurred error sudenly appear withoyt the first error(listener) ,so what i have to do....?
hint:the oracle services all open,thanks...: )

Do you have only one oracle product installed.
Do you have only one tnsname.ora file?, in TOAD when logging you can set what ORACLE_HOME to use in connection.
Do you use names with domains or without?
