How to create macros for Oracle?

Can anyone out there direct me on the best way to build macros (to conduct quicker and more accurate searches, of course) for a rather large, and I might add old, Oracle database? Sincerest thanks, Carole

From Excel?...write a macro and connect to oracle database using odbc drivers...
