    sqlplus copy

    Hey all, I know its from oracle ~8.. but i find myself using sqlplus copy pretty often to move tables between instances on the fly. The one thing that is perplexing me is that it doesn't seem to like decimal numbers (ie it always truncates them) searched google and haven't had any luck yet. Anyone know if there is a solution for this?

      Can you tell me what is the data type of the decimals you are trying to copy? Is it NUMBER or NUMBER with scale and precision?

          its a generic number (no precision or scale set) hmmm will give that I try and see what happens.
          well tried it already and yes it worked, will just have to set numbers to the proper precision and scale.
