I'm wondering wich DB will be perfect for company and match this requirements:

- will operate on "sensitive" data
- intern system
- should be low costs
- user base is around 8000 world wide
- system have to be up and running 99.3%

OS ? Linux/windows/unix please help decide

I think they all meet those requirements. I think you are going to have to do some research on your own and further decide which one you are going to use. We don't know exactly what your looking for or any of the specifics of what you are doing/using it for.

In the end this is a decision you are going to have to make and not one we can or should make for you.
