Display a field in margin of Oracle Report only on page 1

Hello All.
I have been struggling with how to get a field to print only on the first page of an Oracle Report in the margin section. We are running Oracle Reports R6i. All pages except page 1 should have spaces in that area of the margin. I have been playing with triggers, conditional formatting, the 'print object on' parameter and formula and placeholder columns. Is there a way that I can reference the page number to conditionally print this field? Thanks in advance for any help/advice you may be able to offer.

Go to the property palette of the feild and change the print at option to first page.

Thanks for the advice, but Print Object On already specifies First Page. Any other ideas?

Place that field outside the main margin or in parameter's form or in headers section of the report
