Is there any Transparent Application Fallover in DB2? IBM should
copy it from Informix till it resolves DB2 instance disappearance issue.
The best part of it is db2start command will start everything without any
problem as if DB2 has forget and forgiven everything.

Oh come on! Type "earth is flat" into Google and you'll find people
who support that point of view. Everyone from experts to total
incompetents post to computing forums. Next time, do try being
selective when using the Internet.
