Designer failing to reverse Engineer

strange question this i know..

but can anything think of an example of when designer(2000) fails to
reverse engineer an oracle database???

Thank you, I'm not a thing but a person.
Yes it can - that version reversed engineered from the repository,
so the tns-stack needed the remote database on the SERVER side! Not
on the client side.
Apart from that - lots of fog in my crystal ball overhere - any specifics?
