    CSV to Oracle table

    Hi all,

Just a general question. What is the best method (querie) to transfer a CSV (excell) into an existing oracle database table. I've been looking on google but the more I look the more I get confused on what to do, or how to do this. Could someone take me through a querie step by step?

    Thanks in advance

The easiest way to accomplish this is by using a database utility called SQL*Loader that comes with every Oracle install. Here are relevant, useful links for SQL*Loader in some recent versions of Oracle:
    10g: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs...dr.htm#i436326
    9i: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs...rt2.htm#436160

It is possible that you may have to register for a free account to view these documents.

You can make use of SQL LOADER or EXTERNAL TABLES in Oracle
