Installing ODB.NET

Hi

i want to connect to oracle 9i from .Net using oracle ODP.NET.But when i download and install ODP.NET it stops all my oracle services.Now i even cannot logon to the oracle SQL*Plus engine.

How i can install ODP.NET properly and use it.
