    hI,
    did you give
    stl_dr
    as connection string?

    Please check it and reply.

    Cheers

      Check the NAMES.DEFAULT_D OMAIN in your sqlnet.ora file. If for instance in the sqlnet.ora file you have:

      NAMES.DEFAULT_D OMAIN= corp.company.co m

      Then your tnsnames.ora entry should look like:

      stl_dr.corp.com pany.com = ...

      Additionally, I'm pretty certain Oracle recommends you use SERVICE_NAME instead of SID in the tnsnames.ora entry for 9i and up.

      If you'll go to the command prompt and type:

      lsnrctl services[listener name]

      look for "service dr.corp.company .com has one instance" then you set the SERVICE_NAME parameter in tnsnames.ora to that value.

      SERVICE_NAME = dr.corp.company .com
