    Any body tell me what is the difference between unique index and non unique index?

    I want briefly explantation..

      The answers to these kind of questions are freely available on the web. Posting repeated questions for this kind of simple definitions seems to be homework related and this site has very strict guidelines on the posting of and answering homework questions which I would advise that you read carefully.

      These kind of definition questions clutter up the forum and the information you are looking for can be found in numerous places on the web. The answer to this one is simply that a unique index won't allow for duplication of values wheras a non-unique index will.

      Please search the web thoroughly for answers to these kinds of questions before posting them in this forum. The experts will get very impatient with members who repeatedly ask these kinds of questions.
