Grant Privileges

I want to give update privilege to a column in a table. i have given a syntax

SQL>GRANT UPDATE ON EMP(EMP_NO) TO LEEA;

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00905: missing keyword

i am getting this error, kindly give suggestions.

You can't grant on a particular column. becasue other columns might also be dependent on it.

so use


GRANT UPDATE ON EMP TO LEEA;
