Hi i have 80 GB HDD In My Laptop but it shows only 72 GB and it has single partion only (C Drive).my problem is that when i right click on it and check its space it shows 62 GB used and 10 GB free but when i open c drive & select all files on C drive & check its properties then it shows 30 GB only Even i am sure that i have not more than 30 GB data .so please tell me where my other 32 GB space gone .

Have you tried defragmenting the drive and checking the utilization after that?
(And Windows frequently uses many small drives for things like backup partitions and boot partitions) -
Yes i already tried Disk Defragment but my hard disk space still showing 10 Gb free.I have only single partition in my laptop & there is no backup partition.Comment

I Got it,Actually there was a auto backup Software installed on my laptop (Rescue & Recovery ) Which is taking my Laptop Backup automatically in every Week, But its not showing in the Hard Drive ,today i deleted my all backups by opening Rescue & recovery option & there is Advance option where i deleted all the previous backup,now i have lot off space in my laptop
