Considering this site's stance on doing people's homework for them (not allowed), what do you think about these?

If you start it by posting what you think, we can help guide you in the right direction.

Basically, you must create a local network, that both servers are connected to and that is ideally not connected to the internet. Then have something running on the private server, that the public server can access.

To make such a connection, you can either connect directly or use a router.

My suggestion: If you want to write this in Visual Basic, ask for help in the Visual Basic Forum. You'll have to write a Client and a Server, so make sure you give enough information in that new question. Oh, and make sure it's clear that you're not asking for anyone to write it for you but for things you'll need to write it yourself.

            Greetings,
