I have a HP pavilion ze4400 Windows XP Home Edition laptop and I can't get wireless connection. Everything is good with the router and modem. The problem is with the computer itself. I've tried repairing, but it keeps saying it cannot renew IP address. The connection status keeps saying limited or no connectivity. The signal strength is excellent. I think it's something with my security protection or windows updates, but I can't figure it out

To me that sounds like an issue with the wireless encryption, maybe you have the wrong password for logging onto the network. Try logging into the router (with a cable or through another computer) and check the wireless encryption settings. For troubleshooting you can try temporarily disabling the encryption.Originally posted by phonsI have a HP pavilion ze4400 Windows XP Home Edition laptop and I can't get wireless connection.
