    how to limit network card connection

    hello all.

    i have win xp on pc A that connect to a modem cable.
    to this pc i put
    wifi card and convert it to access point with WEP key
    its all working great my laptop gets internet.

    now, my hot neighbor came and ask me to share the wifi.
    i want to know if there is a way to limit her wifi speed.

    somthing like net limiter but that works not on application that works on the hardware

    You could always build a firewall on an old PC, use that for packet shaping/bandwidth throttling...

      but i dont have extra pc

      no aplication that can do that?

            Yeah, you'll want something sitting on your PC to throttle that connection, but I don't know anything off the top of my head. My recommendation would be to search sourceforge.net and freshmeat.net to see what programs like that may be out there.

            Just to be a security annoyance, you do know that you will then be liable if she starts doing something like downloading music, or something illegal depending on the country you are in...
