Use my computer as a webhost

    Hey,

I would like to use my computer as a webhost. I have got apache and this works really well on my computer. I do not have a domain such as yet (mum and dad havn't braught it yet) and i cannot buy it seeing im 13.

When i type in my ip it works. But it doesn't work when it is done of another comptuer. I have got a d-link router. I have set the dmz to my ip. I have opened the ports. so there are two questions.

How do i get it so other an access my apache server?
What ip address should be typed in to access it?

    thanks alot

It isn't neccessary to have your computer be in the DMZ. Just forward port 80 traffic to your computer through your router (look for an option usually called "Virtual Server").

Does your ISP block port 80 traffic? You can use canyouseeme.org or any other online port scanner to see if your ISP is blocking port 80. If that is the case, you will have to use a non-standard port.
