You mean you lost the network mapping on your computer to the server, or the actual server is no longer showing one of it's hard drives?

Is your disk partition and CD-Writer recognized by Windows? Please look at the Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc)

            Hello, Mr. Thiyagarajan!

You should be able to map it right back to your server

            (1) Go to My Computer, or anything that'll bring up your tools mene
            (2) Select Tools
            (3) Choose Map Network Drives

Please write if this does not do it for you. Sorry for your troubles.

You should have a set of drive letters to choose from whereby, in the top dropdown, you can choose D

After chosing D, you next option is to select, in the next dropdown below, the shared folder(s)...

Please note: If you're logged on as admin (your name, screen name or other as admin, added as such straight from the box) when you first boot up this machine, and you have a domain, you will need to, in the Connect using a different user name portion, add DOMAIN\username then password specific to that domain to be able to see the D drive,

Hit finish when you're done, and there's your drive D

Please write if this is not what you hoped to achieve

to retrirve the information on your missing drive I suggest you to use Knoppix. You just download it and write it on CD... then you start your computer and may see your drives. Then you may get back up from your critical files on other machine like FTP server or whatever.

Then you may play with windows to get back your missing drives.

                    Amir.

You can give yourself admin rights:

                        If this is your machine:

                        (1) Log in as Administrator (Type Administrattor in User name)
                        (2) Hit OK, you do not need a paasword here
(make sure Log on to says the right domain you need)
                        (3) Go to Control Panel
                        (4) Choose Users and Groups
                        (5) Add yourself, in Other option, as Administrators

Click ok, and try the info in my previous post again.

Please note: This works only if you know the domain that has the drives you need to map to. Your server should have had a domain already set to achieve this.

No worries, you can do this :-)
