    network problem

    hello firends...
    i want to replace one ibm thinkpad with dell inspiron, the thing is that dell is not connected to network and ibm is connecting to network perfectly, can any one expect the reasons please....

    Have you run the Network Wizard on the Dell machine yet? Also, on the IBM, you can go to Control Panel: Network Connections; right-click the Local Area Connection for Properties dialog to see all the current settings. Do the same on the Dell machine and set them accordingly.

      First tell us if you are hard wired or wireless, second are you using a router at home or are you connecting some other way?
