want to check wether the ip Entered as an input in the text box is correct or incorre

I am writing a program in which I have to aplly check on ip wether the entered ip in text box is correct or incorrect..
* I get ip as an input from the user.

What is an example of a correct IP?
What is an example of an incorrect IP?
