Can anybody help me in adding values according to a particular date in grid view??

I have a form in which I have to add the sales quantity according to particular date like if there is x unit of sales for item A and y unit of sales for item B today so i should get total sales today as x+y in grid view. Due to some privacy issue I am unable to attach the form. Kindly response as soon as possible. An early response will be appreciated
