.exe on Netfolder doesn´t run properly

    .exe on Netfolder doesn´t run properly

    I created an .exe with vb.NET and Jet4.0 on Access2002 and
    put it on a Netfolder. Other workstations without having
    Access installed can´t run the application properly -> The
    appl. doesn´t start the server.

    Is there any other possibilty except installing Access on
    each machine that runs this appl. ??? f.ex. runtime lib or
    something like that

      Are you using ADO.NET if so make sure that the latest MDAC is installed on
      the users machines.

          Yes, i got MDAC 2.7 SP1 installed on other machine, which
          other possibilities ???

              Sorry I missed the part about running the app from the NetFolder.

              Do any of your machines run the App from the net folder? If not do the
              machines have the .DotNet framework installed? If they do have you check
              the dot net security settings? The local intranet zone should probably set
              to low security.

                  Anything I could I set in the .Net Framework on Full trust.
                  The Appl. runs a Makro from Access, I guess it won´t be
                  working without having Access installed, right ??

                      Yeah, If you are calling a method on the Access Object model (ie. you
                      reference access in your dot net project) then the caller/client needs to
                      have access to that reference.
