No database in Visual Studio .Net ?

    Dear friends,

From Internet I've downloaded Microsoft Development Environment 2002 version 7, Microsoft .Net Framework 1.0 version 1. But now I realised that it does not include SQL Server or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000). Now what should I do?

Move forward a few years. Try Visual Studio 2010 beta 2 for example, or Visual Studio 2008.

There are even free versions of Visual Studio 2008. They are under the branch of "Visual Studio 2008 Express".

You can get them from the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Express website.

On that website you can even find SQL Server 2008 Express!

        Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Pls tell me that whether Visual Studio 2010 beta 2 or Visual Studio 2008 support Windows XP Home Edition or not. SQL Server comes with these products or do I need to download SQL Server seperately?

        Thanks.

You should check the Microsoft page for those products to see if they meet your needs. Don't ask other people to do your reading for you: That's just lazy.
