    rh91 instead of md91

I just tore down my mandrake 91
home puter and installed rh91 instead.

    i must have had a bad rh91 d1, because
i began this process a week or two ago
and so haven't been online from home
    since destroying my puter.

i am totally amazed at how speedy and clean
an rh91 install is. i like the four choices
of install, Home, Workstation, Server and
Custom. I made my work rh91 system
a Workstation and this a Home station.
Installing just the basic office apps and
    Internet client software.

The GNOME interface is really clean looking
and super easy to use. I like the fact
    that RedHat automatically installs my
favorite Internet clients in the basic
    home configuration: Mozilla, Pan and
Evolution. They are the basis of most
of my communications -- although, Firebird
my soon replace Moz in the triad.

This is a really old machine -- a Toshiba
laptop with 96MB, Pentium MMX. The interface
is swift, bright. The built in keyboard
stopped functioning, so I use a plug in
    ps/2 keyboard and mouse(only on ps/2 port
so I added a USB adapter to the ps/2 mouse).

I am sitting about 4 feet away from the
screen, but the fonts are so clear and
bright, I can easily read even small
    fonts.

This is no joke. RH91 is the answer to
any complaint ever made by a winTroll anywhere
any time in this newsgroup or anywhere else.

This thing looks, acts and feels better
than XP, and as a home OS, it's perfect.
And it's free. Free as in free beer (to
    the end user).

Why anybody would pay $90, $180, or more
for a home OS is beyond me.

And you know what, with Fedora, I think
RedHat will only get better and better.

I still like and will always like Mandrake
for its courage. But I think rh has finally
aced them in the 'ease of setup' department.

Umm, I can see half of a point in posting this to
microsoft.publi c.dotnet.genera l (however, I suspect there is little point in
posting this kinda thing to a developers group, your not going to sway
anyone and your subject matter has nothing to do with the discussion here),
but what is the point of posting this in seattle.general ?

I know many people have asked you to stop posting these off topic posts
here(microsoft. public.dotnet.g eneral), and I know your too assinine to
actually stop, but I have to ask that you please only post relevent material
to the newsgroups, crossposting to comp.os.linux.a dvocacy does not change
the fact that you are being rude and grossly off topic.

And before anyone gets on me about COLA being the place to put such
messages, I agree with you, that is where such messages should go. This post
no more belongs on microsoft.publi c.dotnet.genera l than it does in
    fj.fleamarket.a utos or comp.lang.java. advocacy.

      dot net runs on Linux.

everything Linux is therefore relevent to Dotnet

It is therefore relevent and purposeful that
Linux topics be discussed in a dot net newsgroup.

I do c# programming with dotnet in Windows and
      dotgnu in Linux.

Honestly, that is not a very good argument. The pupose here is dotnet, not
linux, not windows, but dotnet. That is why it does not say
microsoft.publi c.windows.dotne t.general. I am well aware that dotnet runs on
linux and I use mono myself, but that doesn't mean I need to post every
single thing I have to say to COLA simply because there is some sort of
relation. The purpose of this group is dotnet and the other implementations
of the runtim, dotgnu and mono. Please take a little time to consider your
reasoning instead of barging in and posting like this. Linux itself has no
bearing here and I for one just don't care to read these posts.

Also, under that argument, you should also be posting to comp.lang.java. *,
and every other newsgroup for a language that operates under Linux,
        otherwise you are being contradictory.

I know you do, I see you ask questinos and simultaenously post this offtopic
material, and things such as requesting that posts to crash OE be posted
here. It is not conducive to the newgroup and I'm sure it does not help your
reputation here, I know I will not take any time out to help you, and I
really don't like having to take that stance with anyone, but your posting
is too rude to bother with.

Heh, whatever you wanna say. Your posts are rude, offtopic, and inflamatory.
I made a reply in as polite a manner as I could, considering who I was
replying to. I don't particularly care what you think, just stop acting like
a kid and be a bit more professional before the rest of the group starts
feeling as I do and stops helping you and\or killfiltering you.

And you still havn't explained why any of this is relevent to
seattle.general , just because Microsoft's campus is in Redmond doesn't add
        much to the argument whatsoever.

              well now that you're here,
              maybe you can apologize
              to them for JScript and

                    Because you're installing rh91 d1 ?
