    VB.NET or C++ Builder

    Which one has the most future in it? Which one can I make
    the most money in? Which is superior?

    I don't really want to keep relearning everytime the fine
    people down as Microsoft decide to "revolution ize" the
    language I've spent the last 5 years mastering. ( Not to
    sound grouchy ) But I would if it were that much better.

    TIA,
    Graham

    That really depends on a lot of things. There's definitely a future in
    VB.NET, there's definitely a future in C# and C++ ain't gonna disappear any
    time soon. If you are into building GUI intensive apps, VB is probably the
    better suited language. If you are into building components and services,
    C# and or C++ is probably the better suited langauge. You can make a lot of
    money in any language, and knowing a language isn't the only part of making
    money with it. What sort of stuff do you build?

    However, understanding .NET is much more than learning a new syntax. It is
    revolutionary and it takes time and effort to learn, and well worth every
    bit of it. I think they are going to keep revolutionizing stuff, I sure
    hope so anyway...so take you pick because change is gonna keep hapening.

      Your post was encouraging.

      Right now I am making a game. I guess that would be GUI
      intensive. I don't have any graphics yet, just an engine.
      I saw a demo from MS called Terrainium or something like
      that. It was great looking to me. Plus it had all the
      functionality I could really ever want and it used
      the .NET stuff.

      I think .NET is right for me, I just wish there was a
      project converter for ME. :)

      Thanks again,
      Graham

        A lot depends on the job market in your area or in an area you would like to
        move to.
