I'm having some concerns regarding my Database approach.
Normally when I create an application for someone I just create 3 tiers. presentation, business, data access; In this last layer I do my database stuff like getting person collections and returning it back to business logic that does the necessary things etc and passes it to the presentation layer.
Now I see all these new ORM methods like Nhibernate, Entity framework etc..
I also hear that this is much easier and saves you a lot more time.
Does anyone have advice for me concerning this subject?
Also concerning the database itself. When is it best to go for SQLServer or Access DB. Can you run SQLExpress at a clients pc. Or isn't this seen as a best practice?
Please give me some personal experiences.
Kind regards,
