Charts and graphs

Hi,
My manager wants me to create some charts and graphs for some of data we collect. I have never done it before neither on a desktop application nor web application. Do I need some special kind of software to create graphs on go? Any guidance will be helpful.

But I dont think he will be willing to buy some license for crystal reports. I need simple graphs created programatically .

Google should give you a list of open source charting projects.

You could use MS office web chart components... its free to use...there are lot of articles for the same... Check this
you will have to import office chart component in your project and use it ..
you could create images at runtime and have the charts saved as images in your application folder....
Another option would be Dundas Charts
Dundas are grt but very expensive...

office web chart component are good.. though go for d latest one... OWC 11 or later... check for office 2007 charting components....
