    StateServer Service on Vista x64

My development machine is running Vista x64. I cannot find the ASP.NET
StateServer Service in my list of available Services. Do you know how I can
    enable this?

RE: StateServer Service on Vista x64

    Hi MCM,

As for the ASP.NET state server service, based on my research, there seems
a issue for Vista operating system. Have you installed the IIS webserver
on the vista box or only have visual studio installed? Here is a former
issue mentioned an undocumented change, on vista operating system, the
state server service is not installed until you install IIS webserver on
    the vista box.

A broad category of Microsoft tools, languages, and frameworks for software development. Designed to support developers in building, debugging, and deploying applications across various platforms.

    Sincerely,

    Steven Cheng

Ok. I have not installed IIS and I don't want to. So I guess I'll have to
      live without it. Thank you.
