    Resolution of a thumbnail image

    Hi all,


    I'm using Aspose.Slides for .Net.
    I'm using the getThumbnail() method to get a jpg/png-picture,but i couldnt be able to get the image in a particular resolution.Can anybody help in this.

    GetThumbnail allows you to spec the height/width of the thumbnail. The rest of the settings should be taken from it's parent image.
    What else are you after?

      Hi Plater,

      Thank u for ur reply.I can get the image in a spec height/width.But not able get the image in a spec resolution.


      Could u plz help me...

        Isn't resolution the x,y dimensions?
        What do you mean by "resolution "?

            Well the point of a thumbnail is to normally create a smaller, a probably less clear image. Since by nature scalling an image will cause a loss of data.
            If you have a 1200x1024 resolution picture and you make a thumbnail of 600x512, your image will not be as clear.

            So if you change the image size you are going to lose information.
            If you want to keep the same resolution, use the .copy() function of the Image/Bitmap class.
