Use a javascript confirm box to ask the user if they want to delete

function confirmDelete(delUrl) {
  if (confirm("Are you sure you want to delete"))
 {

}
</script>

Call the function like this......

<a href="javascript:confirmDelete('delete.page?id=1')">Delete</a>

Another way to do the same........... ........
