GridView Selection

Hi, this is Narendra

in .net From grid view, while selecting a record have to display the contents in controls,
i had done this one in grid view select index changed event but here am going again to base and fetching that corresponding record.

Is there any chance to display the contents of selected record of grid view without fetching data from database again.
means we bind data to grid view to display, from there can we take?
please send proper reply.
