how to create server based exe in dotnet

I have developed one vb.net application. I have around 25 computers and one server . I want to deploy that application to all the machines.

I want to access the vb.net application from the LAN (i.e server drive) .If i made any modification in that application. I update only on the server .It should update to all the clients . All the client having vb.net application shortcut from the server .I should not copy my application into the local computer

It has been my experiance that doing that always causes wierd exceptions (be it windows32 exceptions or security exceptions).
I too would like to know the way to do this correctly.
