Question on GridViews

I have two gridviews and a transfer all button on both grids. Transferring one record at a time in the right order works. However when I click the transfer all button, the records move to the other grid, but out of order. Can someone please advise?

Visual Studio 2005. By the way, both gridviews are sorted in the aspx page, which is why I'm puzzled. I used gridView2.Impor tRow(gridView1) ; to copy the contents of gridView1 and append them to gridView2. However, no sorting as stated in the apsx page.
