date time picker problem

i have a dtp , i have it custom to show only MM / yyyy .
when i change the year its all good , but once i touch the month , i get a big error , and i have no idea what to do about it .
any ideas ??

it seams that since i change only the month , if the day is the 31 , and i move to a month that have only 28 days , i get an error and since i display only the month and year , i dont care about the day .
its a credit card month/year display , any ideas ??
