    Microsoft's MDSN site is one of the best resources you will find for any .NET questions. Please be sure to check it early and often, as it will more then likely answer your question more thoroughly then we will have the time and energy to do.

    There are many important sections of MSDN some of the most helpful are the How-to and Walkthrough sections.

    For those of you who use Visual Basic 2005 there is a spectacular list of samples that have common code for most of your applications.

    For those who dont have Visual Studio MSDN provides something called virtual labs which allow you to quickly evaluate or learn how to build great applications for Windows and the Web through a series of guided, hands-on labs which can be completed in 90 minutes or less.
