DataGridView control C# as the programming language to use

    Hi guys,

    Greetings!

Here are my questions. (I'm pretty new hope you can guide me)

    1. Can we use DataGriedView control to include a unbind and bind source (can we mix them)?

    2. Im sure you are familiar with a shopping or similar to ordering

    Customer Name:

    (DataGridView Control)
    Quantity ProductNames Unit UnitPrice Total

What should be the best strategy here, should I create a transaction table?
Where I have all the required fields such as the customerID, customerName, Quantity, ProductNames, Unit, UnitPrice, Total ???

What im thinking is that Quantity and Total is unbound source then productNames and Unit is in one table like Products and Units table respectively? Then I just populate the ProductNames using a conbo box as well as the Unit?

    Please guide me accordingly.

If you could create a live sample that is really similar to what Im discussing will be highly appreciated.

You can send your kind help through my email at amcasperforu@ya hoo.com

    Thanks,

    Casper

Just a clarification.. Is it a Windows app or Web application? DataGrids are quite different in those scenarios.

So you want to use a bound and unbound dataset to populate the control. Here are the steps:

          - Create a third dataset (or datatable or dataview or whatever you are using).
          - Populate it with the bound data and then unbound data.
          - Use it to populate your control.

          Best
