    Beginner to .Net Environment

    Hi All,

My company hired a contractor to design the website using ASP.NET
    written
with VB.Net front end. I have just finished install VS .Net on my
    computer
and tried to open the files that the contractor sent and I am keep
    getting
this error message "The selected files is not a valid Visual Studio
    Solution
file" and if I select on the VB project file and I got this huge error
message "Unable to open Web project 'xxxx'. The file path 'xxxx' does
    not
correspond to the URL 'http://localhost/xxxx'. the two need to be map
    to the
same server location. HTTP Errror 404: Object not Found". Can anyone
    please help me out? TIA

The key to the entire thing lies with your contractor who I assume got paid.
They would "know", everybody else will have to guess.
