I am trying to figure out the best way to set up a
development environment for several remote developers
working on an ASP.NET project with VisualStudio.NE T. Here
are the issues. All the developers work from home and do
not want to use VPN if it can be avoided.
1. Without using VPN is there any way for all the
developers to be able to work on 1 web project located on
a test server (Win 2K Server, IIS 5)? Are front page
extensions the only option?
2. Is there any way to use SourceSafe for a web project
that is accessed through front page extensions, or do you
have to use file share?
I have read the team development docs on the msdn site,
but have not seen a clear answer to this scenario. Does
anyone have any advice, or know of any good articles
explaining how to set this up?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
