Default settings for new .CPP files added to a project

Hi,

Anyone knows if it is possible to specify default settings for newly added
..CPP files?

My specific problem is that the project contains several configurations.
And in a specific configuration almost all .CPP files need to be excluded
from build.

I would like new .CPP files to be automatically excluded from build in that
configuration, rather than having to mark every new file as 'Excluded from
build' manually.

I have tried playing with Policy Files (.TDL files linked to a project), but
I didn't find a solution to my problem.
I believe there is a possibility to do it by a .TDL file, but it is not
documented.

Any ideas?
