    Visual Studio .NET 2003 Installation

    Hi,

I'm currently working on an application written in Visual Basic .NET. I want
to create some User Controls in order to add some specific functionality to
    the application.

While reading on msdn I found out that there is a kind of project that you
need to create in order to be able to make custom controls and it's called
    "Windows Control Library project".

I just can't seem to find such a project with all the good will in the world.

Can anyone tell me why it is like that and what I have to do in order to
    solve it.
What I have installed is the following:
Microsoft Development Environment 2003 Version 7.1.3088

    The installed products are:
    Microsoft Visual Basic .NET
    XMLSpy2005 Visual Studio .NET Edition

    Please help me,
    sl33py [at] hotmail [dot] com

Do you definitely have Visual Studio .NET 2003 installed and not the
original Visual Studio .NET? When I select File / New / Project and click
either Visual Basic Projects or Visual C# Projects I can see a 'Windows
Control Library' project type in the top right of the Templates box.

Re: Visual Studio .NET 2003 Installation

I certainly have Visual Studio .NET 2003. But I can't tell which components
are installed or which components that came with the install disks. The
installation was done by someone of the "Hardware" department. He had a box
and it read "Visual Basic .NET". I'm at home now and here I can make custom
controls (they are fun) and I can also connect to an Oracle DB (which I can't
at work, but am supposed to do very soon)

btw, if you know why my png images have a blue border (they shouldnt have)
I'd be glad to know about it too :)

      Thanks for your response Leon

      Greetings
